ANNUAL MEETING HELD GOLDFIELDS HANDICAP TO QUIETLY SURPRISE BY COOMASSIE (By Telegraph—Press Association.) GREYMOUTH, April 22. The Kumara Jockey Club’s annual meeting was held to-day in fine weather* The track was in good order. There was a largo attendance. The totalisator investments, single pool, were £5.144 10s, as against £3822. last year, a,n increase of £1322 10s. Results:—

DILLMAN’S HANDICAP. Of £55. Six furlongs. 3 Bella Rosa, 9.2 (Drinkwater) 1 6 Appeal, 7.5 (Moore) 2 1 Heather Glow, 8.8 (Brow T n) . 3 Also started: 4 Bettwyscoed, 8.5; 2 Night Recital, 8.0; 5 Solitaire 11., 7.10; 7 Fast Ace, 7.5. Won by a length each way. Solitaire 11. was fourth. Time, 1.16.

Sisterina threw his jockey at the start. Monipere, Coomassie and Quietly were in close attendance for a mile, when Quietly took charge, and led into the straight from Monipere and Coomassie. The latter put in a challenge, but could not sustain it, Quietly winning comfortably.
