(By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, April 22. The Auckland Racing Club’s autumn meeting concluded at Ellerslie to-day in showery weather, heavy rain in the moynihg making the track heavy. The totalisatof handled £34,474 10s, compared with £41,191 10s on the corres. ponding day last year, a decrease of £§7l7.- ' The total v for the meeting was £7-4,806, against £76,773 10s laat year, ti decrease of £1967 lOs. AUTUMN STEEPLECHASE. Of £350. About three miles. 3 Ruby Meteor, 9.6 (Gilmer) 1 1 Yalpoen, 11,12 (Rennie) 2 Hilly Boy, 10-.13 (E. Thomson) 3 Also started: 4 Slump, 9.0 (fell). Valpecn led the way from Slump and Ruby Meteor with Billy Boy well back. Slump fell at the water jump at the start of the final round and broke a shoulder, later having to be destroyed. The rider, McLaughlin, suffered shock. Billy Boy fell before Slump came to grief. The issue was fought out between Ruby Meteor and Valpeen, .the former having, too much pace ■to win with plenty in reserve. Thomson recounted Billy Boy to secure third place. Won by two and a half lengths; two furlongs. Time, 6.16.
ST. LEGER STAKES. Of £450, One mile and three-quarters. 2 Kelly, 8.10 (McTavish) 1 1 Sporting Blood, 8.10 (Tinker) 2 3 Sirona, 8.8 (McKenzie) ~~ 3 Also started: 4 Keith Lu, 8.10. Sirona acted as pacemaker over the early stages but faded out in the straight for Kelly to clinch the victory from Sporting Blood in a great finish. Sirona was well back third. Won by a neck; twelve lengths. Time, 3.11 3-5.
HUIA HANDICAP. Of £450. Six furlongs.

Won by one and a half lengths; two lengths, Time, 1.45. Namakia led throughout. Gay Lap, who was always second, had no chance with Namakia in the run home.
