For the first day of the Canterbury Jockey Club’s aiutumn mieeting the weather was fine but dull. The course was in good order. The attendance was excellent. The totalisa'tor investments were £32,027 10s, compared with £31,786 10s last year. Additional results were : GREAT EASTER. HANDICAP. Of £6OO. Seven furlongs. 2- Princess Doreen, 8.5 (A. E. Ellis) . 2 1- Rerepai, 7.11 (Humphries) 2 .8-6 Kamal Pasha, 7.5 (Hibberd) 3 Also started: 6-10 Inflation 8.6, 7-8 Rebel Chief 8.6, 9-9 Silver Streak 7.13, 4-4 Cranford 7.12, 10-7 Sam Smith 7.9, 3-5 Tauramui 7.9, 14-14 Gay Orest 7.7, 13-12 Variant 7.1, 5-4 Tizzy 7.0, 11-13 Sea Fox 7.0, 12-11 Tuirau 7.0, 1515 Royal Sceptre 7.0. Princess Doreen was first to show out but Royal Sceptre soon went to the front and Jed across the top from Cranford, Rebel Chief, Rerepai, lizzy, Princess Doreen, Silver Streak and Tuirau. Rerepai and Royal Sceptre were the ilea dors rounding tho far turn from Cranford, Rebel Chief, Tizzy, Silver Streak and Princess Doreen next. Rerepai and Princess Doreen drew out at the distance and the latter won by a length, with Kamal Pasha half a. length further back. Sea Fox was fourth. Time, 1.25 2-5. COURTENAY HANDICAP. Of £l6O. Six furlongs. 4- Linguist, .8.3 (Pine) 1 11-11 Frenchie, 8.8 (Bryce) 2 5- Song Boy, 8.13 (Beale) ...... 3 Also started: 6-6 Delium 9.0, 1-1 Joyous 8.11, 12-12 Polygraph 8.9, 2-2 Dover Patrol 8.9, 8-9 Master Tony 8.8. 13-13 Zionist 8.8, 7-8 Isaacs 8.8, 3-3 Tooley Street 8.5, 10-10 Princess Rawene 8.3, 9.7, Rebel Queen 8.3, When the field reached the course propel’ those most prominent were Dover Patrol, Tooley Street, Joyous, Rebel Queen, Song Boy, Polygraph and Linguist. The nast-named finished best and won by a length from Frenchie. Song Boy was a neck away and Joyous fourth. Time, 1.13 2-5.

Ellis) ... 1 10-10 Fair weather, 7.0 (Hibberd) 8 1-1 Fracas, 7.13 (Russell) 3 Also started: 1-1 Knockout 7.5, bracketed with Fracas 8.13, 4-4 Polvclora 8.10, 5-5 Silver Sight 8.10, 8-8 Minerva) ■8.3, 2-2 Hunting Go 7.10, 11-11 Hacre Tomt 7.7, 12-12 Horowlieima 7.5, 6-6 Tout lo Monde 7.5, 7-7 Imperial Spear 7.4, 14-13 Courtyard 7.0, 13-14 Korcro 7.0’ 9-9 Cleaner 7.0. Fair weather and Imperial Spear piloted the field' across the ton into the straight, where they were follorved by Might, Cleaner, Tout le Monde. Silver Sight and Fracas. Might beat Fair Weather in a close finish by a neck, with Fracas a similar distance away. Mi nerval was fourth. Time, 1.52 1-5, *
PAPANUJ HANDICAP. Of £l6O. Seven furlongs. . 10-10 Pat role, 7.7 (Storey) ...... .1 4-5 Colombo, 7.13 (Jennings) ... 2 2-3' Manetho, 9.9 (Kirqvan) 3 Also started: 1-1 Moonbeam 8.11, 3-4 Red Dance 8.2, 5-4 Owlsgleam 7.12 and Silly Owl 7.7 (bracketed 1 ), 6-6 Knowledge 7.8, 8-8 Hoot Stuff /./, 9-9 Lady Zephyr 7.7, 7-7 Downier 7.0. When the field had settled down Patrole had charge and led across the top from Red Dance, Lowater, Colombo and Owlsgleam. Patrole and Colombo Vvere the leaders mto the straight with Lowijjtei’, Red Dance and Manetho next. Patrole stayed on and won by a neck from Colombo, with Manetho a similar distance away. Red Dance was fourth. Time, 1.27.
