Bands Play at Windsor in Honour of Princess Elizabeth NINTH BIRTHDAY CELEBRATED HOSTESS TO KING & QUEEN

(United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph Copyright). Received 3 p.m. to-day. LONDON, April 21.

By Royal command the Horse Guards and Grenadier Guards hands played on the east terrace of Windsor Castle in celebration of the ninth birthday of Princess Elizabeth, who amused thousands of spectators by beating time on the window panes. She inspected her birthday gifts after breakfast, including presents from all the members of the Royal family. She attended service at the private chapel, and subsequently sat at the head of the table for a tea party in the oak room, acting as hostess to the King and Queen, the Duke and Duchess of York, the Duke and Duchess of Kent, the Duke of Gloucester and Princess Victoria. Bells rang in the evening in honour of the occasion.
