Okaiawa Maoris
The Okaiawa Maoris held a euchre party and dance in the Okaiawa Hall last week in aid of the Variety Orchestra. Prizes were won by Airs Ake Ake first and Airs O. Alori second and Air J. Katene first and Mr Temuka second. During the evening a programme of poi dancing, hakas and an exhibition of ’ tap dancing was also given, by Messrs AY. Graham and T. Kingi and was much appreciated. Mr AVehe Aluri was Master of Ceremonies and the AYinety Orchestra supplied music.
