TRIPLETS BORN IN TRAIN

The Flying Scotsman, travelling from London to Edinburgh, was held up for 45 minutes at Alnmouth owing to Mrs Sarah Monaghan, of Bathgate, giving birth to. triplets in her compartment. She was attended by two medical students aboard the train, while a doctor and ambulance, were hurriedly summoned. The woman was rushed to the Alnmoutli infirmary four miles away. The triplets did not survive. The woman is -stated to bo making progress towards recovery.
