SOUTH TARANAKI CRICKET

A AND B GRADE MATCHES. TEAMS FOR TO-MORROW. Only one A grade cricket match will be played, at Hawera to-morrow. This will be between Power Board and Patea. Although the match was set down for Hawera, Old Boys will travel to Kaponga. Hawera will meet Stratford at Stratford.

In the B grade Hawera will meet Manaia at Hawtera. Old Collegians will travel to Stratford to meet Stratford Technical High School, while Opunake will play Stratford at Stratford. The Old, Boys—-Hawera Technical High School match has been postponed. WIN FOR KAPONGA.

RIVERLEA DEFEATED,

Declaring when they had lost, eight wickets for 111 runs, Kaponga Thursday cricket team defeated River lea yesterday by 41 runs. Riverlea won the toss and put Kaponga in to bat, but they were unable to dismiss Foster, who retired when 81. All thq Riverlea side but one contributed to the score, but they failed to reach the visitors’ total. The match was the first of tho second round under the K.A.A.R. Association and the umpires were Messrs Rothe and Coleman.
