MOKOIA SCHOOL COMMITTEE

MONTHLY MEETING HELD. The monthly .meeting of the school committee was held in the school on Monday. Mr W. J. Marsh presided. Accounts amounting to £3 were passed for payment. Mr Marsh reported that together with members of the committee he went to Stratford to make arrangements regarding the showing of the “ Dolls’ House” in that town. They had inter.viewed tile Stratford committee regarding their assistance with, participation in the profits, but they were unable to concede with th& result, that the house is being displayed at Mrs Clarke’s for the Mariutahi school alone. The head teacher reported that the roll number was 38 and the average attendance 35. f Miss Wytkin had relinquished her duties as relieving as-j sistant arid Miss Wooldridge commenced on March 1. The annual school picnic was held in Hawera and proved a successful outing. Use was .made of the baths and afterwards races were held in King Edward Park.
