LORD AND LADY BLEDISLOE. PRESENTATIONS AT AUCKLAND. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, March 6. The Governor-General and Lady Bledisloe, who are paying their farewell visit to Auckland prior to their return to England, attended the Ash Wednesday service in St. Mary’s Cathedral this morning. The sermon was preached by the Primate; Archbishop Averill. . .... - ------ This afternoon Lady Bledisloe was farewelled by the women of Auckland at a gathering in the town liail: The Mayoress,, Mrs G. W. Hutchison, on behalf of Auckland women, presented Her Excellency with' an illuminated address in - a greenstone casket.

A civic farewell .to Their Excellencies was tendered in the town hall tonight. On behalf of the people of the metropolitan area, the Mayor, Mr G. W. Hutchison, presented Their Excellencies with a casket containing an illuminated address.

A delegation of the Arawa Maoris, from Rotorua made presentations- tor Lord and Lady Bledisloe and bade them farewell.

To-morrow afternoon a public fareivell will be held in the domain and Their Excellencies will, leave by train for Wellington in the evening.
