TURN FOR THE BETTER

ITALO-ABYSSINIAN RELATIONS. NEUTRAL ZONE AGREEMENT. 'United Press Assooiatioi—Ey Electric TekgrapD Copyright .} LONDON, March 6. The Rome correspondent of the Daily Telegraph says that after three months of tension the relations between Italy and Abyssinia have taken a torn for the better. An agreement on principle has been reached at Addis Ababa by which a neutral zone three and a-lialf miles wide will he clemarked between Italian Somaliland and South-east Abyssinia. Italy has also agreed that Nooad tribes may cross the zone with their herds for the purpose of using the wells. The settlement should prevent the troops on each side meeting and fighting, but it is unlikely that the sending of Italian troops already mobilised will be suspended, as the demarcation of the frontiers has not yet been carried oul and the question of compensation for the attacks at "Walwal and Arfdul are unsettled.
