EVENING SPORTS MEETING

TEN EVENTS DECIDED

Continuing the series of evening sports meetings at the Eltliam school baths, the Eltham Swimming Club on Monday evening decided a program me of 10 events. A feature was an exhibition of diving by F. Maslin, who. was seen in several splendid styles. J. Ryan (Stratford) gave a fine exhibition of the backstroke. The relay race was won by a team of High School boys (XL Paterson, W. Ware, J. Pepperell and K. Horrocks). Eltham heat New Plymouth Old Boys by 3 to 1 in a polo match. Detailed results were as follow : 25 yards schoolboys’ breaststroke: C. Rye 1, J. Haworth 2, A. Taylor 3. 25 yards schoolgirls’ breaststroke: P. Cooper 1, P. Peebles 2, B. Bridger 3.
