THRONE OF SIAM

The Lausanne correspondent of the Daily Mail says the Siamese Minister at Paris has offered the throne of Siam to Prince Ananda, the eleven-year-old nephew of the ex-King. The boy’s mother. Princess Songkla, does not object to his accession. Prince Ananda, who is being educated at Lausanne, intimated that lie was ready to agree to the .people’s wishes. A Singapore message says the Siamese Government is determined that tho King’s successor shall be a mere figurehead.
