COOPLE SENT TO HOSPITAL
Injuries Alleged to be Caused By Assault With Bottle REMAND ON £IOO BAIL DAILY REPORT TO POLICE (Sy Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, To-day. Injuries received as the result of an alleged assault with a bottle, resulted iri J. King, of Ghuznee Street, a traveller, being removed to hospital yesterday 7 morning with lacerated wounds to. his face and head, and Mrs. A. Hunter, of Roxburgh Street, with a wound in the forehead from a piece of glass. A man, aged fifty, Thomas Carroll Bussell Hunter, a butcher, was to-day charged with assaulting King so as to cause actual bodily harm, and lie was lemanded until March 13. In asking for bail, Mr. R. Hardie Ho.ves said Hunter had gone to. King’s rooms on a matter of business and .had found his wife there with King. Hunter had lived and worked in Wellington for many years and, although he had lately been separated from his wife, there was no likelihood of his not answering bail. -Bail was fixed at £IOO, conditional on accused reporting daily to the ‘police. He was also ordered not to approach his wife or King in the meantime.
