WAR ON WHITE BUTTERFLIES
RELEASE OF PAEASITES. ACTION IN CANTERBURY. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, To-day. War on the white butterfly- caterpillar, which Has caused much damage to Canterbury- crops, is now proceeding. Supplies of its natural enemy, a small dark fly, have been released at Timaru and Heathcote under the supervision of the Department of Agriculture, which hopes eventually- to eradicate eighty per cent, of the pest.
