PLANES’ FRUITLESS SEARCH

lady young and db. kibby, SIXTEEN MACHINES OUT. United Presh Electric Telegraph Copyright). Beceived 2 p.m. to-day. CAPETOWN, March 3.

Sixteen ’planes are now searching for Lady Young and Dr. Kirby. The fourth day’s search again proved fruitless, and the searchers are now discussing the possibility of a crash into the Kafue flats marsh or a fall in the Kafue Biver. These theories are discussed because hitherto no native is reported having seen the ’plane further north.

Lady Young, wife of the Governor of Bhodesia, left Livingstone on the morning cf March 1, flying in her own machine, accompanied by the Government medical officer for Lusaka, where the Governor is staying at present. The ’plane was.sighted an hour after leaving, but since then there has been no trace of it.
