(British Official Wireless) Received 2 p.m. to-day. RUGBY, March 1.

Sir John Simon’s visit to Paris gave an opportunity for a conversation with M.» Laval, the French Foreign Minister. It is understood that the conversation was of a general nature, with particular reference to the manner in which the European situation has developed! since the Anglo-French conversations at London on February 3. The forthcoming visit of Sir John Simon to Berlin was also touched upon. The Soviet Ambassador in London, M. Maisky, called at the Foreign Office and confirmed the invitation for a British Ministerial visit to Moscow. The question of acceptance remains under consideration.
