Air. H. Frost is at present on a camping holiday in the Wellington district.
Mrs. D. Alan nix and Miss Iv. Alannix, who have been on a holiday in New Plymouth, returned home -luring Ihe week.
Airs. J. Campbell and the Alisses J. and L. Campbell are at present on a holiday in New Plymouth.
Sir Walter and Lady Carncross returned home on Saturday to spend the week-end in Eltham. Air. W. P. Bootten, Rawhitiroa, left on Friday for Auckland, where lie judged the milking Shorthorns at the Show.
Air. J. Hollywell, of Wanganui, has been appointed manager of Messrs C. C. Ward’s Eltham business, and will take over his duties next week. The Afayor and Alayoress, Air. and Airs. I. J. Bridger, left yesterday for Auckland, where they will spend a holiday.
Aliss K. Bullor- was the guest of Air and Airs. G. H. P. Fitzgerald at their beach residence, Pukearuhe. A large number of Scouts and Cubs attended the church parade at the Methodist Church on Sunday morning. Tho parade was held in honour of the Chief Scout’s birthday, the minister, the Rev. Spencer, delivering a suitable address to the boys. The choir rendered appropriate anthems. There was a very large attendance of the congregation.
