Centre of the N.Z.A.A.A. last night approved of a team selected to repreesnt the centre at the New Zealand athletic championships at- Wanganui on March 8 and. 9. The selectors were Messrs A. G'. During the meeting Mr;.A. G. Minting said that at the Taranaki subcentre meeting it had been suggested that the centre should establish a fund > meet the expenses of athletes iron) Ihe ceu.re . attending New Zealand championship meetings. ' The subcentre considered that it was time that the centre made a move in the matter .either by a levy or something of a like-nature'. v vV V
Mr A. Grant agreed that it was time something was done in the matter. biit the trouble lay in finding tlic money to 'establish the Jpnd. The centre collected 2s yd froiii each athlete, brffTs of this went to;the N.Z. A.A.A. while 3d went for numbers.
