SOUTH TARANAKI UNION’ MEETS
Appreciative reference to the work done in the interests of Rugby football in the South Taranaki primary schools by Messrs W. Anderson and N. Tunnicliffe was made at the annual meeting of the South Taranaki Primary School Rugby Union at Eltham on Monday night. Officers for the year were elected as follows: President, Mr G. H. Percy (Hawera) ; secretary and treasurer, position held over;, group organisers, Manaia, Mr L. M. Fairbrothcr, Hawera, Mr A. E. Gilliver, Stratford, Mr R. L. Hancock, Eltliam, Air A. Gudopp, Opunako,, to be arranged; executive, Messrs A. T. Houore, Ei. J. Thomas, W. Dormer, M. F. KedgIcy, secretary, president and group organisers; delegates to central executive, Messrs FI J.. Thomas, J. Henderson and G. H. Percy; selectors for south, (Messrs R. Thomas, I'. Mason aud L. J. Fiifric; auditor, Air A. Morrison.
It was decided to leave the grading aud grouping of the teams in the hands of the executive. It was announced that weight lists and affiliation. fees had to be put in the hands of the secretary by April 5. The southern representative trials were fixed for June 15. at 10 a.in., the venue this year to be Fit ham. It was decided to press for a reduced weight (0 stone) for the annual quadrangular tournament.
