WATERSPOUTS IN HAURAKI GULF

THREE SEEN FROM STEAMERS. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Feb. 26 Waterspouts in the Hauraki Gulf today were an addition to the unusual weather phenomena which have boon observed at Auckland during the past few days. A largo waterspout was seen early in the afternoon from the Federal June steamer Hertford, which was making port at the conclusion of its voyage from London. Another large waterspout was seen shortly after six o’clock ip the evening- from the pilot launch Waitemata, which was going out to bring the steamer Antiope into port. Another smaller waterspout was later observed from the Antiope as she was coming up the harbour.
