THE PIG INDUSTRY
INFORMATION FOR, FARMERS
LECTURE AND DEMONSTRATION
South Taranaki farmers will have the opportunity this evening and tomorrow of securing further information in connection with the pig industry. Officers of the Manawatu-Oroua Pig Recording Club arc visiting the district and demonstrations and a lecture have been arranged. The party consists of Messrs W. J. Croucher (an officer of tho club), C. P. McMcekan (Massey College) and W. A. Davison, a prominent pig farmer. To-night, an illustrated address will be delivered in the Normanby Town Hall on various aspects of the industry, with particular reference to recording ami other features of management. A judging demonstration and carcase- examination will be held at Walker’s factory to-morrow at 1 p.m. This afternoon, a similar demonstration was held at Hutton’s works, Eltham.
The visit has been arranged tinder the auspices of the South Taranaki executive of the Farmers’ Union.
