MAORI DIES OF INJURIES
KNOCKED DOWN BY CAR. RECEIVES FRACTURED SKULL. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) LEVIN, To-day. As a result of being knocked down by a ear driven by J. G. Etheridge, of Napier, last evening on the LevinFoxton main highway five miles from Levin, a Maori farmhand, Tawheta Winiata, aged 15, son of a well known family in this district, received a fractured skull, succumbing to his injuries within a few minutes. Deceased was walking along the road and the accident happened when the car was passing another.
