Allegations by Maintenance Defaulter in Christchurch (By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, To-day. A remarkable suggestion that his wife had persecuted him aud had tola .stories about him committing suicide and had another man buried in his name were made in the Magistrate’s Court this morning by George McDonald Hamilton, aged 34, who was charged with failure to comply with the terms of a maintenance order issued at Auckland on November 29, 1931. The arrears were admitted by Hamilton, who made the allegations when denying that he gamhled. He was sentenced to six months’ hard labour. The accused had previously • been sentenced for false pretences.
