Won by three lengths and half a neck between second «nd third. Time, 1.531. Marcus Cicer'd was liiftth. CAMELLIA STAKES. Carefree, 7.7 (Carter) 1 Roman Spear, 8.1 (Zensky) ... 2 Blixten (N.Z. bred), 8.6 (Pratt) 3 Seventeen started, including Autopay, Golden ; Gate, Persian, Diatomous, The Masquerader and Frimsel. Won by a length, and a head between second and third. The Masquerader (N.Z.) was fourth, Persian eleventh and Atitopay twelfth. Time, 1.26 J. ROSfiHtLD SPRING HANDICAP. Oro, 8.i2 (Cook) 1 BraebOrn, 8.1 (Hickey) —2 lolaus, 6.9 (Findlay) 3 twelve started, including Topical, Ldmardh, Shatter and Caliente. Won by a head, with two lengths between second and third. Topical was fourth, Limarch fifth, Shatter seventh and Caliente tenth. Time, 2.20.

Royal Amphora was unplaced in the first division of the Highweight. Tn the Camellia Stakes he made a brilliant finishing run but struck trouble in the straight. He finished fourth and his Elpsom prospects now look brighter. In the same race Autopay was badly away at the barrier riser.
