CAR RUNS INTO HOUSE
CONSIDERABLE DAMAGE DONE LIMOUSINE BEYOND CONTROL (By Telegraph —Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Sept. 17. Late on Saturday a heavy limousine driven by Miss E. Hamilton, of St. Albans, jumped a side channel in Bealey Avenue, smashed a six-foot paling fence and then crashed into the side of a house, portion of which was offshifted from the foundations. A number of articles in the room, including a clock, were broken. The bumper of the car was embedded in the broken weatherboards.
One of the occupants of the house, Mrs E. Blewett, received a severe fright from the noise and the impact. r ' The driver of the car was unhurt. The accident was caused by the car colliding with another at the corner and swerving off the road.
