(For Zi nours from 9 a.m. to-day.) The general inference is that an anticyclone of considerable intensity covers the north Tasman Sea and northern New Zealand. A series of slight westerly depressions is passing in the south. The forecast is for moderate to fresh south-west to westerly winds, later tending to the north-west. The weather will be mainly fair to fine and mild, but with some rain at times about mountain areas. Seas are moderate to rather rough.
