Napier Boys’ High School by -six points to three, retaining (the Poison Banner. Representative Match SOUTHLAND BEATS CANTERBURY. TNYE RCA'R GILL, Aug. 15. Southland defeated the Chinterbiury Rugby team to-day by 20 points to 12 in a game which was remarkable in that, no fewer than four field goals were kicked-, three being registered by Southland. -Conditions were idbad, but the standard of play was disappointing. For Southland Metcalfe scored a try which was converted by McJ\;r.y Henderson, J. P-u-rduo and Hamilton l dropped goals l , and G. .Purdue kicked a penalty goal.
