At the wool sales. 7113 bales .were offered, including 2164 from New Zealand. About 4300 bales were sold. There was a better selection, including a good proportion of Merinos. Failcompetition ruled, with steady prices. There were some withdrawals, as the selling limits were not reached. New Zealand halfbred lamb slipes H/N2 sold at 17d, and New Zealand crossbred lamb slipes at up to 16d, with an average of 14$ d.
