POLAR BRONZE MEDAL
AWARD TO NEW ZEALANDERS. (By Telegraph—rress Association.) AUCKLAND, May 1. The Governor-General has received advico that the King has been pleased to approve the grant to Air. Robert A. Falla, ALA., of the Auckland Institute and Museum, and Mr. Ritchie G. Simmers, At. Sc., of the meteorological branch of the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, of the Polar Atedal in bronze, with a clasp inscribed “Antarctic, 1929-1931,’’ in recognition of their services in the Antarctic exploration expedition under the leadership of Sir Douglas Afawson from 1929 to 1931.
