ART UNION WINNERS
IDENTITY OF THEI “THREE M’s’ “LUCKY CAT” £2OOO PRIZE AUCKLAND, May 2. The winning ticket in the “Lucky Cat” art union, which was drawn -on Tuesday, was held by a, syndicate o! three employees of the Fanners’ Trading Company, Limited—Messrs F. L. Moyland, P. McDonald and R. Mollwraith. ’All three are elated by their success. They were very reticent, and attempted ix> keep the fact secret, but the news soon leaked out among theii friends and fellow-employees. The ticket was bought from a. streetseller during a tea-hour stroll one Friday evening. It was taken under the noni-de-pluuie of “Three .M’s,” the initial letter of each of their names. By a strange coincidence another ticket with the same nom de plume was bought from the same vendor, and as it was held in the country an Auckland man and his wife considered that it might possibly be one in which they had a share. * However, their hopes were dashed by the receipt of a. telegram from the holder of the ticket.
