TEN,NTS SOCIAL (From Our Own Correspondent.) A successful flag “500” evening in aid of tennis funds' was held at Mrs iG. Foreman's residence. 'Those occupying the winning taolc were Mrs A. •Williams and Miss G. (Murray and (Messrs T. Eangitonga and J. Davison. The consolation prizes went to Mrs .T. Davison and Messrs .T., ißlackler, M. Murray and M. Kitney. The next evening will be held at Mrs Murray’s residence. GENERAL An interesting lecture of missionary ( work among the (Solomon and Fiji Islands were given by Mr Scriven the other evening, at the conclusion of which Messrs A. E. Williams and D. T. Gardner thanked the visitors coming out. Mrs S. Gibbons, of Taumarunui, is { the guest of her sister, Mrs Gardner. Mr G. Williams has left for the north for the shooting season.
