There has been an improvement in the Bombay strike position with the arrest of ten Labour leaders, including a-woman, and firm measures by arme.r police to suppress the intimidation ot loyal workers. Four mills reopened yesterday, the number of strikers falling from ‘85.000 to 65.000. The textile workers’ . union at Nagpur, a big manufacturino- centre, has decided on a gen eral strike on Tuesday as a protest against wage cuts. Delhi textile workers struck yesterday. Nine pickets wore injured in an attempt to stop a lorry containing loyal workers.
