PENSIONS CUT ACCEPTED
SOLDIERS’ COUNCIL DECISION REPLY TO FRENCH GOVERNMENT (United Press Associatlon--By Electric Telegraph Copyright). Received 2.0 p.m. to-day. PARIS, April 12, The Ex-Soldiers’ Council has considered the 'Government’e suggested reduction dm. pensions and allowances and has decided to accept a three pea- cent, cut in pensions only from July 1 to December 31. The council insists on a genuine attempt before July 1 to rehabilitate public morality and ensure railway, political nindl social reforms, in default of which, they will impose their own programme of a national renewal for a safety state.
