Commw ville, secretary of the institute, in pro posing the toast of the company “From a small company it has becomr one of the greatest shipping concern, of the Empire.” Replying Mr W. S. Falla, joint gen. oral manager of the company, said “It is important that we in this country and Australia should develop oui own nationalism to witnistand, shall ] say, the attack from other quarters. If we do not give this question studj there aire grave dangers ahead foi local concerns. We are all vitally affected.”
