At Perth the temperature for 30 days between January 6 and March 6 reached 90 degrees and over. At Adelaide the temperature to-day was 110 degrees, while the daytime temperature at Adelaide has not fallen below 80 since February 16.
The shade temperature at Melbourne to-day at one stage was 103 degrees. Indeed the whole week lias been sweltering.
