MADRID, March 11. The Left Wing newspaper “La Tierra” declares that Monday and Tuesday will be critical and prabably decisive days in Spain because Fascist and Socialist demonstrations are likely to clash. In addition there is unrest, especially in Valencia and Barcelona, which are arming against anarchists and gangsters. Shops are specialising in safeguards and alarms. Banks have installed armoured counters, enabling the employees to return fire, while windows and doors can be simultaneously closed by pressing a button. Middle classes have petitioned the Government, declaring they are unable to endure longer the' present conditions.

It is feared that Spain faces civil war as the result of the dissolution of the Confederation of Labour and the closing of the headquarters of the Socialist Youth movement. The Government lias' ordered the prosecution of associations planning revolutions. Panic-stricken householders are laying in provisions and bottling drinking water. At Orsene attempts were made to disorganise the electric light service. Agitators killed two police and a. bvstnnder with bombs.
