Jack William®, a cook aged 23, was found with his throat cut and with a blood-stained bread knife lying beside the body on the Papakihau station, Porangahau, late this afternoon. Earlier in the day Williams and an elderly fellow cook, aged 65, whose name is not .yet known, allegedly had a quarrel, resulting in a scuffle. The body of Williams was subsequently found in the whore. Both men were newcomer® to the station and appeared to on friendly terms. The police subsequently went to Porangahau .and arrested an elderly man, who will be brought to Waipukurau.
