DENIAL OF RUDENESS
MEN' FROM RELIEF GAMP. DEPUTATIONS IN CITY. /Bv Teiejfrapft— Vresa Association.. CHRISTCHURCH, March 10. A deputation from the relief workers who were dismissed yesterday from the Lewis Pass camp met a Labour Department officer this morning and stated the case. The officer said he could not make any decision until he had communicated with the Public Works Department. Later the men waited on the Mayor who promised to make an immediate appeal to the Unemployment Board that the men be given work or paid sustenance in the city. The men denied they had been rude to the Public Work's district engineer on his recent visit to the camp.

Captain Eikenboom, commander of the Zeven Provincien, which was seized by mutineers at Sumatra in February, 1933, has been sentenced to four months’ imprisonment for neglect of duty and dismissed from the service.
