WINTER FEED FOR STOCK The cheapest and most satisfactory Winter feed for stock is grass, and next to grass come hay and ensilage. Under the climatic usual in this territory it is possible to have grass, fresh and succulent, growing through the Autumn and into the Winter. At the Marton Experimental Station it was found that Autumn top-dressing with Superphosphate, following an application of lime, doubled the yield of grass during the Winter months.
