The general inference is that an anti-cyclone of slight intensity is crossing the northern portion of the Dominion to-day, hut a fresh westerly depression has reached south-eastern Australia and will more eastwards rapidly. The forecast is for variable but light winds, south-westerly prevailing and veering to northerly and later freshening. The weather should be fine at first and becoming warmer, but with clouds increasing and showers developing to-morrow. Seas will !>e moderate, but later rising.
