CRASH IN STOLEN CAR

(By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Alare-h 9. A thief who stole a car from High Street, Rangiora, last night caused considerable inconvenience in the Loburn district by colliding with a telegraph post at Dixon’s Corner, breaking it and cutting off telephone communication with Rangiora. It was a coincidence that a traffic, inspector was in the Loburn district at the time and using a ’phone when communicaiton was interrupted. He dashed, out and found the abandoned ear half a mile down the road in a hedge. The car was 'badly damaged, but the thief was missing.
