BOTTLES USED IN FIGHT

Charged with assaulting one another dining a fight with bottles the previous night, John Patrick Ryan, aged 41 marine fireman, and John Henry Parker, wharf labourer, aged 58, were each sentenced to imprisonment for two months with hard labour. A woman who was with them m the house was remanded for a ’week on a charge of being intoxicated, Sub-In-spector Martin saying she was shaky from drinking methylated spirits. _ln evidence the woman, Margaret Dority, admitted that all were drinking methylated spirits.
