OVERWHELMED BY SPOIL. NECK BROKEN IN FALL. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) THAMES, Oct. 19. Athol John George Connolly, aged 26, married, the father of two young children, was killed at the Kuranui Golden Hills Ltd.’s low grade mining plant at nine o’clock this morning. Connolly was working 50 feet up the face of’ a cut above a hopper when he slipped -and was carried down with the slurry, being almost covered. He was dead when released, his neck being broken.
