The subject of a standardised motor horn was raised in the House of Comj mons recently, when the Home Secretary stated that inquiries were made of "the National Physical Laboratory, and the conclusion reached that further i expenditure on experiments in the production of a standard type of horn was not likely to prove of value. The number of new motor vehicles registered for the first time in Eng- | land in April was 27,409, as compared I with 25,114 in the same month of last j year. New private cars registered foi the first time in April numbered 17,420, against 14,306 in April, 1932, an increase of 3114. 'flie greatest increase was again in the 10 h.p. class, there being 3672 more of these vehicles registered this April than last.
