Disregarding Captain Goering’s order to use the axe at all executions, a guillotine was employed at Leipzig today, the first execution for 15 years, 'the prison governor appeared in gala uniform and the town councillors were robed. Lawyers engaged in the prosecution and” defence witnessed the guillotining of a murderer.
