DEPARTURE OF CRUISERS. MUTUAL APPRECIATION. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Sept. 28. In reply to a telegram sent by the Governor-General to Rear-Admiral R. C. Dalglish on the departure of the Australian Squadron from New Zealand waters his Excellency has received the following wireless message: “I and the squadron under my command are deeply grateful for your Excellency’s gracious message. The kindness', hospitality and friendship with, which we have been welcomed during our visit to New Zealand will always be to us a- very happy and lasting memory—Robin Dalglish, Rear-Admiral commanding the Australian Squadron.” The Prime Minister sent the fo-llow-ing telegram to A<l mir.-il Dalglish. : “On the eve of your departure from New Zealand shores I desire on bell alf of the Government to express l again the very great pleasure the visit of the Australian Squadron has given to the people of New Zealand. We trust that your sojourn among us has been interesting and enjoyable. Such, visits undoubtedly serve to strengthen still further the friendly relationships between the Commonwealth and this Dominion.” Admiral Dalglish has replied: “I thank von for your land message, which I shall have great pleasure in conveying to the Commonweath Government. His Majestv’-s Australian Sou acl ron has thoroughly enjoyed the visit to New Zealand and all officers and men are most grateful of the opnortunities which your Government has so kindly given them t-o see_ as much of the country as was possible during their stay. The rare friendliness and spontaneous hospitality extended wherever we have been fortunate enough to visit made evident to us the deep regard and warmth of heart that New Zealand has for the Commonwealth. ’ ’
