YOUNG HELPERS’ LEAGUE. (From Our Own Correspondent). - The collecting boxes of the members of the Young Helpers’ League were opened at the Manaia public school on Friday afternoon by the .secretary and treasurer, Miss Parry. Mr Budge, chairman of the school committee, reviewed the work of Dr Barnado’s Homes and activities among the destitute children in England. He praised the collectors for their past year’s results. . Miss Parr” said the year’s working would show a small increase over last year and an' increase of 10 members of the league spoke well for the *n • suing year. Afternoon tea was provided by the ladies.
