Colonel Rosette Turner broke the west to east trans-continental speed record by 13min 30sec., negotiating the distance from Burbank (California) to Floyd Bennett Field (New York), 2520 miles, in lOhr. omin. 30sec.
Colonel Turner flew a 900 h.p. lowwing monoplane, his top speed being 315 miles an, hour.
