DISAPPEARANCE AT AUCKLAND DINGHY DRIFTS ASHORE (Bv Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Sept. 10. An unsuccessful search was conducted throughout the day for Robert Roberts, a married man who disappeared from a dinghy .in St. Mary’s Bay, Ponsonby, on Friday night. Roberts, with a companion, rowed out to an anchored' launch to effect engine repairs. As they were boarding tlie launch the oar of the dinghy floated away and Rloberts sculled after it with the other oar. The friend, who remained in the launch, heard a splash. .An empty dinghy came ashore later and it is considered Roberts was drowned.
