MOTOR CYCLIST KILLED
ANOTHER HURT SERIOUSLY. COLLISION IN WAIRARAPA. (By Telegraph—Press Association). CARTERTON, Feb. 27
A fatal motor cycle accident occurred at 10.30 on Sunday night on me main road to the north. J. A. Humphries of Carterton was proceeding south from Masterton and when about midway to Carterton met Frederick Brown of Masterton in a head-on collision. Both riders were very seriously injuretr—on heads and arms. A pillion rider behind Brown named Duncan McLaren was very slightly injured. The Carterton police at once communicated with the ambulance and ;e----rAoved the injured men to the Masterton hospital where Brown succumbed to his injuries without regaining consciousness. Humphries is reported to be in a very serious condition with a fractured skull and severe facial abrasions.
